Our client specialises in the fabrication and installation of balustrades and other structures for commercial buildings.


The challenge

With a busy factory floor materials are constantly being ordered and delivered; the challenge was to ensure they are allocated to the appropriate projects and reduce the approval process time enabling them to meet client deadlines.


What did we do?

We recommended and implemented a cloud based purchase order management system allowing definition of approval workflows based on purchase value. This ensured that the team of project managers could be self-sufficient for ordering materials and not have to rely on the accounts team.

This was integrated with the accounting platform Xero, then further integrated with Xero Projects to track project spend and profitability.

The result was a far more agile process which enabled management to easily track business performance whilst keeping to project deadlines.
